I have a bad case of the PPD's

So my friend Karen posted the following on her blog and all I have to say is......DITTO!!!!!

We've all heard of postpartum depression (PPD), while I don't think I am suffering from that, I do think I have contracted a few other PPDs, for example:

Postpartum Disaster - That would be my house. It looks like Babys R Us threw up in my living room, spewing out baby bouncers, burp cloths, blankets, binkies and bottles.

Postpartum Drowsiness - It's not just the feedings every 3 hours that are getting me, its also my precious daughter that has been rising for the day at 5:30 am (whoever invented day light savings did not have small children)

Postpartum Disbelief - How can adding one small child that sleeps for more than half the day increase the workload exponentially?

Postpartum Dishevel - I can't believe how many days in a row I go without a shower, or without ever getting my hair more than brushed, let alone any make up on.

Postpartum Dough - How I 'lovingly' refer to my abdomen, this goes along with

Postpartum Deflation, which has little to do with my emotions, but did occur in the region near my heart.

Frankly, it's all enough to make you a little depressed....

I swear I have been suffering from these different post partum symptoms and inturn things have been happening around our house that are leading up to my biggest PPD, Post Partum Drivin-me-crazy! I can't seem to keep up with anything. It seems everytime I feed the baby the other two group together, come up with their plan of attack and break-----my house or something in my house get's trashed!
So here are a little taste of my PPD"s in action...........................................................................................
This is Cambree deciding to open a can of formula and dumping it all over the couch.
This is how I found Cambree one morning. She had woken up sometime in the night got a cup full of water and fell back asleep on the couch leaving the cup of water to spill all over the couch. Cambree came to me when I was nursing Adalynn and wanted me to do her hair 'pretty'. I said, "Not right now Cambree. I'm feeding the baby." So she went storming off crying that she didn't have pretty hair. After finishing feeding the baby I went to find her and I found her in the bathroom looking like the following picture. She said, "doin my hair prettee"! I think she is chaneling the 80's.
Here is Ethan who decided to get gum stuck all over his face.
I'm suffering real bad! Hopefully I will get over these PPD's soon!!

Adalynn's blessing!

Adalynn was blessed on November 16th, 2008. It was a beautiful day! Todd blessed her and what a wonderful blessing he gave her. She is so lucky to have such a good daddy! I am thankful for such a great husband! He absolutely adores his kids!
Wowser...I am such a proud mamma!

Adalynn is such a great baby and is growing every day! Her siblings love her immensely and Adalynn is starting to grin at them which excites them greatly!
I am so grateful to be a mother. I love my kids with all my heart! Words cannot express the love I feel for my hubby and kids.
Here are some pics of Adalynn in her blessing dress.
I couldn't help including one of her getting real sick of me taking so many pics of her. Look at that little frown with the little bottom lip stuck out. She is so stinkin adorable!

Halloween Night!

Our Halloween was very eventful! We started out the night at Grandma and Grandpa Barton's house with Annie Chris and Kaden for some yummy homemade chili and yummy donuts! It was a very tasty dinner and warmed us right up to go embark in the journey of trick-r-treating. We went home to get the kids dressed up. "Little" Kayden came over to go trick-r-treating but had to retreat home very early because of some mishappenings in his diaper. But we had fun while it lasted with the scary dragon. "Big" Kaden came over too with Brandi and Jared and we went trick-r-treating with them. He was a little Thomas the train which made Ethan a little jealous. He loves what he is dressed in until he starts seeing what other kids are and then he wants to be that. He is silly. We had a great time trick-r-treating and Todd came home from work and met up with us midway which the kids loved! We then went back to Mark and Vickie's to have a yummy carmel apple thanks to Annie for making them. We ended up taking them home and eating them the next day because it was getting so late. Ooooh Annie they were so good! We then went home and went to bed only to be bugged the next morning. "please mom can I have a halloween treat. please mom"! No starts the wonderful journey of being nagged every two seconds for a treat from their halloween buckets. Blah!

Pumpkin Patch and Witches NIght Out

I'm a little behind on the Halloween posts but I'm going to post anyway because we had a lot of fun filled with lot's of fun so here are the first of many!
First we went to a pumkin patch and got in some fun pumpkin pickin time as well as some photo ops. Jenny came down with the kids so all the cousins went together with Grandma Barton and had quite the fun knocking over corn stalks, crawling on pumkins, riding in the wagons, and of course picking out pumpkins. Grandma bought all the grandkids a little pumpkin to take home which was very nice and they kids loved it. Thanks Vickie! It was a really fun day!

The next night it was time for some girl time! Gardner Village puts on a witches night for woman only. So Vickie, Jenny, Annie, and I got together for some r&r. We went out to dinner and then to Witches night and toured all the little shops. Vickie got a carmel apple for everyone to share which was very delicous! I have been craving them ever since. It was fun to get out without the kids, well minus the baby. Adalynn came along and slept almost the whole time. She is such a good baby!
By the way, if you can't read the sign very good, the sign reads........YOU Call Me a WITCH like it's a BAD Thing!?....... Hee hee!

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins with the kids a couple of days before Halloween and they had a blast! It's the first time they got involved in gutting a pumkin. Ethan was all over it but Cambree was a little reserved about touching "yuckies". Once we had all the pumpkin guts out then I drew the faces on them while Todd cut them out. They both showed me how they wanted there face to be. We had a lot of fun together and now can't wait till it get's dark so we can light them up.
All done. The kids were excited to see the final result.

Both of them are so goofy and Very Scary! Here are Todd and I each posing with the kids and our carved pumpkins. In the picture with Todd, the kids decided they wanted to be scary pumkins! I know you all are very frightened!

Ethan and Cambree both are showing their faces to match their pumkins.

Trunk-R-Treating!

We went to our ward trunk-r-treat and the kids had fun! Todd had to work but he got off a little early so that he could be there to help the kids go around to all the trunks! They dressed up in there little costumes. Ethan dressed up as a monkey again this year. I think he thought he didn't have other options but I ran with it because I didn't want to spend money on a different costume. We borrowed Cambree's costume from my friend. Thanks Ali! Cambree dressed up as a Carebear and was lovin the dress up part. She went around once and then wanted to sit and eat a treat. Ethan was a mad man trying to convince his dad to go around "one more time" to get the maximum amount of treats possible. We had fun with our trunk neighbors the Spencers! Karson and Ethan are friends and stuck together trunk-r-treating while Cambree and Konnor exhausted themselves after a bit. Maybe it was the cranky 2 year old symptoms coming through. It was a fun night and we already have too much candy and it's not even Halloween yet!

Adalynn's 6 Weeks!

I'm a little late on this post.
I decided that I would try to take some pics of Adalynn at 6 weeks old. She did so well and is growing so big. I then attempted pictures of the three kids together which was challenging to say the least. I think we got a couple of decent shots. At least as good as they're going to get considering the circumstances.

Adalynn grins alot in her sleep as you can see by one of the pictures below. She seems to focus well on people and just stares straight at you. She is a very gassy baby as some of you have been able to witness(sorry) and can create a bit of stank with some of those toots! Cambree has noticed this and everytime Adalynn toots she responds ...."eeeewww....stinkeeeee....tooter" even if it doesn't stink. She is such a good baby and has been sleeping 6-8 hour stretches during the night. Which is great news for everybody because mom is a lot less grumpy when she gets her sleep. She has been eating well and is infact my best nurser. Or it could be that by baby #3 I am finally getting it down. Who knows.
Ethan and Cambree love her very much and sometimes a little too much! They can sometimes get one inch from her face trying to sing or talk to her and Adalynn gets this confused look on her face as she despretaly tries to focus on who is in front of her. Cambree has had a little bit of jeoulosy issues. She wants to snuggle with mommy of course everytime I feed the baby and sometimes gets mad when I say, "after I feed the baby" so she will try to hit the baby and say "no no baby". Usually I can distract her with a few tricks like being a big helper and throwing the baby's diaper in the garbage or finding her dolly who is crying and needs a snuggle. Ethan has been a big helper. He helps with just about everything. Sometimes I think I ask too much of him because sometimes he will look at me like..'mom...seriously...again' and say with a sigh, "ok"! What a good son he is!
Adalynn is healthy and happy and we are blessed to have her here.
