Getting ready for Christmas!

Now that Thanksgiving is over we can now let Christmas begin. We decorated the house for Christmas. They had fun setting up the Christmas tree and hanging the stockings up. Todd was at work so it was just me and the kids. Adalynn was taking a nap. We had fun! I made the mistake of telling Ethan very specifically that we could not put up Christmas stuff until after Thansgiving. He is so enquizative and kept asking why. So I explained about how holidays work and that we have Thanksgiving first and when that is over then it will be time for Christmas. Ohhhhh. I think we drilled it enough times for him to catch on. So then the next time we went driving somewhere and someone had there Christmas lights on Ethan would shout..."Hey! Those guys are mean. They can't have Christmas lights on until after Thanksgiving!" Guess we didn't drill it very carefully. Now trying to explain that mommys rule about no Christmas till after Thanksgiving doesn't apply to the rest of the world is really throwing me for a loop. Ethan couldn't help it. Everywhere we went he would scuzz and proclaim that those people were mean and shouldn't have Christmas things up yet. What a funny kid! That's why he and I were delighted when it was finally time for Christmas.
As usual my kids think it's fun to wear stockings like they are socks.

And here they are checking the tree out. They were amazed at how you could see the lights through the middle too.

Ethan decided he wanted to take a swing at photography so he took over the camera and took a few shots. Here are a few of them.

Stockings are hung.

Cambree and mommy with our santa hats.

I really liked this one he captured of Cambree and I givin hugs and kisses!
And can't forget the Santa hats he got last year from getting his hand stuck in the escalater at the mall. He probably thinks that was probably the best thing he made out with from that little adventure.
